About 1500-kw

It is a cultural, artistic, and social project that aims to highlight the rich industrial heritage of the city of Aleppo by reviving the historic power plant, which was established in 1928 and once generated 1,500 kilowatts of electricity. 

The project seeks to organize an event that sheds light on the architectural heritage of our city, both in public and private spheres, with a focus on reviving community culture and arts in Syria in general, and Aleppo in particular. 

The goal is to strengthen cultural and artistic ties within the community and revive the shared civilizational memory.

Open Dialogue Sessions
Hosting local and international guests to discuss cultural and social topics, with audience participation, and holding dialogue sessions with the guests to enrich local content.
Culinary Arts
A dedicated space to highlight the culinary arts and Aleppo’s significance in this field, offering talented young chefs the opportunity to participate daily by preparing Aleppine dishes and exchanging ideas and experiences under the guidance of a specialized team.
Archiving and Documentation Arts
Studying and documenting old buildings through architectural and artistic methods, with academic archiving and investment studies for historically significant buildings in Aleppo. This initiative begins with the historic power plant, aiming to demonstrate how such activities can create job opportunities.
Photography and Social Media Arts
Workshops aimed at empowering young people interested in photography, including dialogue sessions about social media platforms and how to engage with them, with the results of the workshops showcased in photography exhibitions.
Musical Corner
A space that provides musical coverage for the event, offering young talented musicians and amateurs the chance to practice and display their musical creativity. The space will also host a professional concert featuring local and international bands.
Fine Arts
A space catering to those interested in visual arts such as painting and sculpture, with art workshops and exhibitions showcasing creative sculptures and paintings.
Traditional Arts
A museum-like display area featuring historically significant art pieces, with workshops to discuss and study traditional arts, and the creation of contemporary products infused with a traditional spirit.
Product Shop
A display and retail space for local products, functioning as a small souvenir shop for the event, adhering to high-quality standards that support Aleppine and Syrian youth, contributing to the growth of products with high quality and professional visual identity.
Cinema and Film Arts
An outdoor cinema space to screen Syrian or international films with social or cultural significance.

The event will be held at the historic Aleppo Power Plant, which belongs to the Aleppo Electricity Company. The venue includes a large indoor space of 1,400 m², along with an additional 700 m² of outdoor space.
